Is the browser really free?

Yes. The full browser, Password Vault, local Vee, and zero-knowledge sync work with no account, no trial, and no card. There’s no clock that expires and no feature that quietly locks later.

What does Pro add?

Pro (coming soon) is an optional add-on: hosted Vee AI so you don’t manage an API key, larger encrypted-sync storage, and priority support. It never paywalls a browser feature, a local-AI capability, or a plugin — and we’ll show the price plainly at launch.

Do I need an account?

No. The whole browser works signed-out. An optional account only adds zero-knowledge cross-device sync — your data is sealed on your device before it’s uploaded, so we only ever hold blobs we can’t read.

What happens to my free features when Pro arrives?

They stay free. We will never retroactively move a free feature behind Pro, or add limits to data you’ve already created.

How is Velnode funded?

By a future opt-in Pro tier and donations. No tracking ads, no data resale, and no outside investors steering the product. Selling your data is not on the table.
